We separated into two sub-groups, one led by Susan and one by Peter, for a five mile walk in glorious summer sunshine. We returned to their house and met up with four or five non-walkers for a picnic lunch to which we had all contributed. Good organisation had ensured we had an excellent range of savoury and sweet dishes. Tea and coffee and soft drinks were provided but we also took our own drinks. It was very pleasant  to sit around chatting, eating and drinking in their beautiful garden.
